Wet & Dry Riser System
Wet Riser
Buildings over 50m tall are required to install a wet riser system. Wet riser are permanently charged with water from a pumped source. The system are installed complete with Landing Valves at specific points on every floor of the building.
Dry Riser
Buildings above 18m and up to 50m tall are required to install a dry riser system. Dry riser are normally dry and are capable of being charged with water by pump. The system are installed complete with an inlet breeching connector at Ground Floor or at the Fire Service Access level and with Landing Valves at specific points on every floor of the building.
